Do all of us have to pay?
No. Heirs never pay. The executor, who opens the estate, pays once for the whole estate when they first invite the family. Setting the estate up before that is free.

Is this legally binding?
No. Partage keeps a record of what your family agreed. It doesn't replace a will, a notary or legal advice, or any formal process your country requires.
You can use it alongside a solicitor: the family agrees in Partage, and the paperwork follows.
What happens to everything when we're done?
It stays with your family. The list, the photos and the conversations remain readable and downloadable for everyone in the estate, with nothing to renew.

Is our information private?
Yes. Only the people the executor has invited can see an estate. Partage has no ads or trackers, and no cookie banner, because there's nothing to consent to. Photos are kept in private storage and shown only to signed-in members of the estate.
What if two of us want the same thing?
The item shows as an overlap, marked "loved by two". Every item has its own thread, where the two of you, and anyone else in the family, can talk it over.
Nothing is decided until your family marks the item agreed.
Do heirs need to create an account?
Yes, but there's no sign-up form to fill in. The executor invites each heir by email. Heirs follow the invite link, then sign in with a link sent to their inbox, so there's no password to remember. Anyone who prefers a password can set one.
Can I use it while a parent is still alive?
Yes. In Planning mode, a parent lists their own things and notes who they hope will receive each one, with a letter to the family in their own words. The plan is private to them while they're alive.
When the time comes, the estate moves to settling. The family sees those hopes as gentle notes on each item and still decides together.
What about photos?
Add photos to any item, from the free setup onwards. For family who live far away, the photo is often how they see the item at all. Photos are stored privately and shown only to people in the estate.
